Sometimes I need to mark a student’s work as late or missing myself - can we have a way to update submission status manually?

We really appreciated the work that has happened so far on this! Our teachers are encountering a challenge where after a teacher has changed a submission status to Overdue, the students then clicks "Turn In" again without actually completing the work. Having a simple way for teachers to mark an assignment as missing that a student cannot override would be highly useful!!

Additionally, a category called "Needs Corrections" would be a huge add for our teachers!!

I want to be able to click "move to submitted" for situations when a student has completed an assignment in-class but has not clicked to submit the LE. Currently, I can click "closed for submission" but this then leaves the assignment hanging out on the student to-do list and they can't get rid of it.

This is essential. It should also be very easy for students and families and teachers to all see when work is late or missing without clicking into the assignment manually. Have missing work flagged.

Agree, this is especially needed for paper submissions, and it would be nice if the flag were visible from the assignment list or gradebook. Flags should include late, missing, incomplete, and excused - all integrated.
