Term mapping should update based on assignment date

Currently, when assigning an existing LE/FA/SA, the platform does not prompt the user to select the term the assignment should be connected to. Instead, it automatically links the task to the term that was originally selected when the assignment was created.
Ideally, this process should work differently. When a teacher assigns the task, the platform should recognize that the assignment should belong to the term corresponding to the current assignment date.
For example, if I created the assignment during Term 1 and originally mapped it there, but I actually assign it during Term 3, the platform should understand that the task now belongs in the Term 3 gradebook, not the Term 1 gradebook.

YES! I realize that if the class has been archived and you pull the material to a new class the system does update the term, but if you duplicate in the same class to a new term, it is very annoying to have to remember to change the term. Lots of questions from teachers about missing assignments already because of this.
