I also agree that an automated notification, with the option to send it to teachers, admin or parents when attendance falls below a school determined threshold would be helpful. I would prefer options for whom is notified as not all schools use the parent communication system to its fullest capacity.

I completely agree with this option being made available. This would cut down on the administrative duties many are tasked with.
