Current Limitation
Currently, when a custom role (such as School Counsellor) is set to be tagged by default in Behaviour Management, the assigned staff member receives notifications for every single incident logged. There is currently no way to filter these notifications based on the nature of the incident.
The Problem
Staff members in specialized roles are often overwhelmed by irrelevant alerts. For example, a School Counsellor automatically receives "Medical" or "Uniform" alerts that do not fall under their remit, leading to notification fatigue and potential data privacy concerns.
Proposed Solution
Introduce Category-Based Auto-Tagging. Instead of a blanket "tag by default" setting, administrators should be able to select specific Behaviour Categories that trigger a default tag for a role.
Key Benefits
Precision: Counsellors only receive alerts for relevant categories (e.g., Social/Emotional, Bullying) and skip irrelevant ones (e.g., Medical, Late to Class).
Efficiency: Saves teachers time by eliminating the need to manually add/remove staff members for specific incidents.
Data Privacy: Ensures sensitive information is only shared with the staff members who truly need to see it.
