Students need a widget on their home dashboard, alongside "School Announcements" that specifically show subject based announcements too. Currently, the only way a student can see an announcement is by going into the "bell" icon, sifting through "announcements" to find the right one. It should be obvious to a student that a teacher has posted a new announcement. I think you will find that most students have 99+ notifications and its easier for them to disregard. A new widget would help this.
