Simplify IDU and Subject-Specific Unit Planning Without Course Duplication
T

Currently, 2.0 schools need to create one course for IDUs and another separate course for subject-specific units. This requires duplicating courses to support both planning workflows.
While this is the expected behavior today, this workflow is not ideal for schools. Maintaining duplicate courses increases setup and administrative work for coordinators and teachers, especially when updates need to be repeated across multiple courses. It also creates a higher risk of inconsistencies between IDU and subject-specific planning structures.
Schools managing both workflows are finding the experience inefficient and difficult to maintain long term. A more streamlined workflow would significantly improve usability and reduce operational overhead.
It would be helpful to explore a solution that allows schools to:
Manage IDUs and subject-specific units within a single course structure, or
Link both workflows without requiring course duplication
This enhancement would simplify curriculum planning, reduce repetitive work, and create a more seamless experience for schools using both workflows.
