Curriculum Planning

There is currently an option to import an assignment from another Course or Learning Experience, which is very helpful. However, there is no option to share an existing assignment directly with other courses and classes. Adding a “Share” option would be especially useful for teachers whose setup is separate HL and SL courses and classes. While the Import option is a great addition, having the ability to Share an assignment across multiple courses/classes would make the process much more efficient. Ideally, teachers should be able to create the assignment once and then share it with the relevant courses and classes. This option would be highly feasible and beneficial in the long run.

Currently classes that are mapped to the same subject group should be able ot share resources across in real time, instead of importing them from the library. This causes more work

Add colour coding options for weekly planners and rich text editing.

Description: A teacher reported that they have multiple teachers teaching the same course and want to keep their resources separate. They would like to create folders at the top of the Course Plan where each teacher can have their own folder containing their individual units and resources. Current behavior: Folders in Course Plan can only contain assignments (LEs, assessments, quick tasks) Units cannot be moved into folders Teachers cannot organize units into separate folders within the same course User's request: Ability to create folders in Course Plan that can contain units Each teacher can have their own folder with their units and resources Better organization for courses with multiple teachers Use case: Multiple teachers teaching the same course Each teacher needs to keep their units and resources separate Avoid mixing content between teachers

Description: A teacher (Mariana Gonzalez Londoño) reported that the Class Drive feature, which was available in the previous layout, is no longer available in Toddle 2.0. She expressed that the new layout feels less teacher-friendly and that she misses having a dedicated space where students can easily find folders and resources organized by topic. Current behavior: Class Drive is no longer available in Toddle 2.0 All resources must now be organized and shared through the Course Plan Teachers need to manage resources within the Course Plan structure instead of having a separate dedicated space User's feedback: "I'm checking my 11 Bio HL class and I had a class folder or class drive with all the presentations. With this new layout there is no class drive and I can't find the presentations." "Is there no other way to have something similar as the class drive where students can find the folders for each topic?" "Just as feedback it seems that Toddle became less friendly for teachers." User's request: A dedicated space similar to the Class Drive where teachers can: Organize resources and files by topic or folder Share content easily with students Provide students with a clear, visual way to access materials Alternatively, a more intuitive way to organize and share resources within the Course Plan

Description: A teacher (Luc Andre Degrace) reported that when he creates a task and assigns it to a category in the Gradebook, it creates a new column for the individual task. Since he only has one task per category, he would prefer to see only the category total column, rather than both the category total and the individual assignment column. Current behavior: When a task is assigned to a category, the Gradebook displays both: A column for the individual task A column for the category total Even with only one task per category, both columns appear This creates unnecessary clutter in the Gradebook User's request: An option to display only the category total column in the Gradebook Hide individual assignment columns when there is only one task per category Or a setting to hide individual tasks from the Gradebook view User's comment: "The category total is the assignment... there is only 1 assignment per category." Use case: Teachers who use one assignment per category Reducing Gradebook clutter and simplifying the view Making the Gradebook easier to read when there are multiple categories

Description: A teacher (Rachel Hindborg) reported that she is unable to share a unit across different grade levels in Toddle 2.0. The "Share unit with multiple courses" feature is not available for 2.0 course curriculum units. Current behavior: Units can only be shared with classes attached to the same course To use a unit in a different grade level, it must be imported from the School Library This creates a separate copy of the unit for each course, rather than a single shared planner User's request: Ability to share a single unit across multiple courses and grade levels A single planner that all teachers can collaborate on, rather than separate copies User's comment: "I would like everyone to collaborate on the same planner. If I import it to each individual grade then it is like a planner for each grade (instead of one shared planner)." Use case: Schools that use the same unit across multiple grade levels Teachers who want to collaborate on a single unit planner rather than maintaining separate copies

It would be useful to be able to customise the timetable formatting. Things that would be useful would be: a) Customise timetable colours based on subject. b) Allow for icons to show up on the timetable blocks, based on subject. c) As has been requested elsewhere, show teacher names on the timetable blocks.

A knowledge database that can be set up by default for the AI curriculum planner, enabling teachers to plan the curriculum according to specific guidelines, methods or learning concepts, whilst ensuring that the AI always incorporates these components.
